- It does not connect to the internet at all.

What the app uses and why
To play a sound and show an effect each time you press a key, the app listens for key-press events from Windows. For each press it only looks at which kind of key it was (for example a regular key, Enter, Backspace or Space) and when it happened, so it can pick the right sound and count your combo. The key information is used immediately and then discarded. The app does not turn key presses into text, does not keep a history of keys, and does not measure or save typing statistics.
To place the effect at your text cursor, the app asks Windows where the cursor is in the app you are typing in. It uses only the position on screen, not the text around it. When the cursor is in a password field, the effect is shown at the bottom of the screen instead of at the cursor.
To pause automatically, the app checks whether the app in front is running full screen and compares its
process name (for example zoom) with your list of apps to pause in. This check happens on
your PC only.
What is stored on your PC
Your settings (on/off switches, volume, chosen sounds, hotkeys and the apps you chose to pause in) are saved in a file in your Windows user profile. If you choose your own sound files, copies of those files are kept in the same place so they keep working if you move the originals. Uninstalling the app removes this data. You can also use Settings → Reset all settings at any time.
Network
The app does not use the network. The only time anything is opened online is when you click the Website or Privacy policy link in the app, which opens this site in your browser.
Purchases
The app is sold through the Microsoft Store. Payment and licensing are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not receive your payment details.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
